Artist Statement
My photography developed out of a passion for the beautiful, untamed, rugged feeling from nature. Throughout my journey as a nature and landscape photographer I have sought to use my camera as a tool to share those beautiful and wild moments that nature provides and use the camera as a way to bring nature and emotion into someone’s life.
Many of the locations that you see in my imagery I have visited time and again to capture the final desired scene. It is my personal mission as a photographer to share the moments that nature provides to us all but many are not able to personally witness. I strive to use my talents as a photographer and printer to be a bridge that brings nature’s beauty into people’s homes.
The images you see here are the ongoing culmination of lifelong development and growth of skills. Not only am I a photographer with over a decade of experience, but also a professional woodworker and printer. This skillset allows me to be unique in the fact that I am able to capture, and create a finalized, printed image myself.
